Schindler Update 2011_11_15

 November 15, 2011

Dear Faithful Friends and Supporters,

Greetings from Taipei! Wow, it’s hard to believe that we are already in mid-November and have only a little more than 6 weeks left in the 2011 year. Since we last wrote many exciting things have been happening here in Taipei. We’ve met with the leaders ministering to the youth and children of working class families to discuss creative ministry opportunities, we’ve continued seeing the Holy Spirit work in the lives of Seekers through our Bilingual ALPHA course, the Lord has added to our numbers in our international cell groups, and we’ve been challenged in our faith as we participate in a 30 day prayer and fasting event through our church leading up to the Christmas season.

How can you being praying for us?

  • We only have 2 weeks of our Bilingual ALPHA course left. Pray for the sharing this week on “What is the Church?, as well as for our ALPHA celebration night on November 25th. Pray for open minds and hearts to receive Jesus!
  • Pray that we hear clearly from the Lord as to what ministries we are to invest our time and energy into. The options are many (youth work, children’s ministry, orphanage work, etc.), but we desire not to act out of our own interest, but to discern God’s leading. Pray for unity and for good communication between our Pastor and us.

Let’s praise the Lord together!

  • Cherry, a Seeker from ALPHA in Kelley’s group, is very open to spiritual things, and over the last 3 weeks has begun praying everyday, reading her Bible, and going to church. Pray that she will make the decision to commit her life to Jesus and follow Him wholeheartedly!
  • Erich has had opportunities to reach out to non-Christians through the medium of sports and build relationships with them. Praise God for this outreach and pray for good conversations that will lead people to knowing who Jesus is!

What a mighty God we serve! Thank you for your love, prayers, and support!

For the Glory of God,
Erich and Kelley Schindler
