Back in January of 2008, our Taiwanese pastor Moses asked us to begin shepherding the community of native English-speakers who attend our Taiwanese church. These might be English teachers who want to experience Taiwanese fellowship, and have found our church. Or they may be Chinese students from the US, England, or Australia. This foreign community also includes people from English-speaking countries who are business people in Taipei. But what we all have in common is our love for Christ, and for the Taiwanese church.

Because there had previously been no group for these foreigners to integrate into, we started a cell group for this small, but growing English speaking community. What once began as 1 cell group meeting in our apartment on Monday evenings has now grown into 3 cell groups meeting at different locations in Taipei! The picture above shows only a few members of our English Zone. By now our group has grown to over 20 members!

Leading this cell group has been a learning experience, and a great joy. We are learning what Christ meant when He told us to make disciples of all peoples. Please pray for us to have wisdom in order to rightly lead this diverse group, and to know how best to integrate us into the larger Taiwanese church.

Because of this influx of new people under our leadership, we are also praying about new ministries to open besides the Bilingual ALPHA Course. While the Lord is really blessing our ALPHA ministry, we realize that people have different gifts that they should exercise in the way He leads. Please be in prayer that we would hear from the Lord as to which new English ministries to consider.
