Schindler Update 2015_11_15

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Greetings from Taipei! As we anticipate celebrating Thanksgiving in a few weeks, we are again reminded of God’s abundant goodness in our lives. We pray that the upcoming holidays will present us with more opportunities to share the Good News with our neighbors and friends, and through giving thanks in all things to Him, point them to Jesus.

Prayer and Praise

  • Church. During the past month we have seen God clearly working in the lives of our local friends. A Bao (a Taiwanese guy), in particular has shown a growing interest in knowing Jesus. He’s come to our home to pray with us, and has been faithfully attending church services / activities. Pray that he will make a decision to fully follow Jesus soon!

  • Thanksgiving outreach. On Sunday, November 22, our house church community is hosting a Thanksgiving lunch & service at a local coffee shop. Altogether our team has invited about 30 non-believing friends, so please pray for many to attend. Pray for open hearts to receive Jesus.

  • Difficult situations.
In the past 2 weeks we have come to learn that some of our Taiwanese friends are involved in drug dealing and connected to the Taiwanese mafia. We have been building a relationship with this family for 1 ½ years, and now realize much of our relationship has been built on lies. Please pray for us to have wisdom as to how to best help them, and that they would be willing to open up to us and seek help.

This Tuesday evening, the young man and his wife who are involved in the domestic violence case we asked prayer for before, are coming to our home for dinner. Please pray for good conversations and boldness to share about Jesus.

Psalms 95:2-3 “Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods.”

Please join us in praying to this end!

For the Glory of God,
Erich, Kelley, Max, and Sam Schindler
