Dear Friends and Supporters,
Greetings from Taipei! We are thankful to report that we are all in good health! At a recent checkup, the doctor was pleased with how the boys are doing. Once again, many thanks for all the emails, cards, financial gifts, and most importantly all the prayers during our hospital stay and recovery. What a blessing it is to have a family of supporters all around the world lifting you up before the Father!
Prayer and Praise:
- Community Easter Service. On Easter Sunday we held a church outreach at a local community center. It was a great time of painting Easter eggs, sharing a fellowship meal together, and hearing the biblical Easter story. We were most happy that the non-Christians in attendance outnumbered the Christians! We praise the Lord for each person who came, and ask for ongoing prayer for wisdom as we follow up with these friends.
- Easter Story Sharing. Erich had the opportunity to share the Easter story with over 200 Taiwanese elementary and high school students. It’s amazing that only about 5 out of these 200 kids were Christians! Lord willing, some of these students will filter into a local community center our house church partners with, and we trust God for lasting relationships and more opportunities to share the love of Jesus with these kids and their families.
- Hospitality. In the past, we have repeatedly invited several of our neighbors, local shop workers, etc. to our home for meals, but they never accepted our invitations. Two weeks ago we committed to pray more fervently for God to work, and within a few days two of these friends invited themselves to our home for meals, and one even brought a friend! How amazing God is! We are thankful for these chances to open our home to them, and pray that they will join our church gathering and meet Jesus!
May this be all of our prayer as we seek to serve the Lord wherever we are: “Above and below me, before and behind me, in every eye that sees me, Christ be all around me.”
For the Glory of God,
Erich, Kelley, Max, and Sam Schindler
